3D Cartesian Parallelized Film boiling code running as 2D Cartesian Film boiling code by impling Neumann boundary condition along a single direction

The 3D Cartesian Parallelized film boiling code is created for the test case of Water at near critical pressure of 21.9MPa. The results of the code have been validated against the time averaged wall Nusselt number corresponding to that of Berenson and Klimenko. The Interface is captured by using Level set solver. The Parallelization is done using MPI. The code can be given on Request.

The code is the result of the humble efforts of Prof. Dr. Atul Sharma, Dr. Vinesh H. Gada and a few modifications from my side.

3D Parallelized Heat conduction equation

The code is the result of the teachings and assignments from my great professor Dr. Atul Sharma, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Bombay. The code is written for a Cartesian grid using flux based solution methodology. The staggered grid approach is adopted where flux are defined at face centers and Temperatures at the cell centers. The code is parallelized as SPMD using MPI.

Initial condition is 0'C at all points inside the cube. The walls are maintained at different temperatures of 100'C,200'C,300'C,400'C,500'C and 600'C on each face respectively. Thermal diffusivity of the material is taken as 1m2/s.
Note: The geometry creation in this code is not optimized. I will post the optimized code as soon as possible. You need any version of Tecplot to process the data files generated.

CFD Codes

Here is my first trial on writing CFD codes using C language. I will update the blog with my work. The readers can also send me code development requests at gb.arivazhagan@gmail.com (or) gb.arivazhagan@iitb.ac.in. I am also eager in taking up one (or) two collaborative open source coding projects related to Heat transfer and Flow simulations. You may find basic versions of single phase codes at this site and also at www.sourceforge.net under the username - gbarivazhagan. I am also working on Level set based methodology for two-phase simulations. I have a basic expertise in - STAR-CD and ES-ICE and in parallel programming using MPI.
